Maria Cieslak facilitates workshops on the SIOP Model, Newcomers, Students with Limited or Interrupted Formal Education (SLIFE), Long-Term English Learners (LTELs), MTSS, and academic language in STEM. With over three decades of experience in education and a specialization in language acquisition and diversity, Maria brings a wealth of knowledge and practical strategies to support educators in effectively reaching and teaching multilingual learners. Through tailored coaching sessions and professional development workshops, Maria helps schools and educators enhance their practices, resulting in increased student engagement, academic achievement, and a stronger sense of belonging for multilingual learners. She is deeply passionate about equity in education and strives to dismantle barriers that hinder the success of multilingual learners. By advocating for culturally responsive pedagogy and equitable resources, she aims to create equitable opportunities for all students.
